1982 SUZUKI GS1100E

I purchased this 1982 GS1100E new on May 8, 1987. It was a "leftover" or "non-current" and was found new and unsold in a dealer's showroom 5 years after its model year. It was purchased for a bargain price.

Offering a comfortable riding position, attractive styling, smooth ride, oil temperature gauge, digital gear indicator and other desirable features, the GS1100 was a true "superbike" of the early 1980's. An extraordinarily powerful and fast machine when compared with its contemporaries, the GS1100/GSX1100 series of machines still offer fine performance and reliability.

Last ridden on August 9, 1987, it is in perfect showroom condition, total mileage 184 (294 km).

Regarded by many as one of the best-styled and most attractive motorcycles of its era, the 1982-1983 GS1100E/GSX1100E models are a superb example of clean, uncluttered styling. This GS1100 was purchased with the intent of preserving it as an example of the finest machines of the early 1980's.
