1982 SUZUKI GS650G

I purchased this 1982 GS650G new on Sept. 24, 1988. It was a "leftover" or "non-current" and was unsold in a dealer's showroom after 6 years and was purchased for an amazingly low price.

It was last ridden on Oct. 30, 1988 and is in perfect showroom condition, total mileage 102 (163 km). First offered in 1981 and discontinued after the 1983 model year, the GS650G model was and still is a fine mid-size machine.

This GS650 was purchased with the intent of preserving it as an example of a fine and oft-overlooked machine of the early 1980's. While public and media attention was primarily focused on the 1000cc and 1100cc models of its day, the GS650G offered an affordable purchase price, a very comfortable riding position, superb engine performance, a nicely compliant suspension plus other desirable features.
