1975 TRIUMPH T160 TRIDENT

I purchased this 1975 T160 Trident from a long-defunct used car dealer on August 25, 1980. It was undoubtedly a trade-in. It did not have the original exhaust system and was missing the rightside footrest assembly, making the machine unrideable on the street, at least for me.

I purchased a replacement footrest assembly and a new OEM exhaust system (except for the mufflers, which are pattern replacements). A thorough cleaning and other detail work brought it up to its current condition as pictured.

The T160 was last ridden the summer of 1982. Except for a small amount of off-idle stumble in the carburetion, it performed perfectly and would rev right past 8000rpm if you let it.

Beveled footrest rubbers bear witness to some enjoyable rides on this fine handling machine. Of course, they are also mounted way too low and drag easily in turns! Total mileage is 6184 (9894 km). You might also enjoy my other T160 Page.
