1975 TRIUMPH T160 TRIDENT

I purchased this 1975 T160 Trident from the original owner on Sept. 8, 1981. It was nearly all original at the time of purchase, including the exhaust system. It needed a thorough cleaning and general mechanical detailing.

Changes from stock are the installation of a Lucas-Rita electronic ignition system and the mufflers are pattern replacements. I have the original mufflers and ignition parts. With the exception of the gold pinstriping, the fuel tank still has the original factory paint.

The T160 was last ridden July 1987 at which time it was performing perfectly, its total mileage is 10394 (16630 km). Typical of a stock T160, the engine produces only moderate power - earlier T150 Tridents were considerably faster machines.

Being an early serial number 1975 model, it has rigidly mounted operator footrests. The other T160 in the collection is a later serial number unit and has rubber mounted operator footrests - a change which was made during the 1975 production run. Here's a link to my other T160 Page.
